Started an install on a 2004 Land Rover and in the process we couldn't find the tach wire.  In the end an employee called Land Rover to see if they could help.  Well Land Rover has issued a tech bulletin that there has ben many, many issues with Land Rovers having abs brakes locking up, random speed surges, random starting/stopping/cranking, and quite a few total melt downs.  Land Rover says it voids all warrenties for any RS, keyless, or aftermarket alarm.  There reasoning behind it is that the stock wiring can't handle any additional current.  Now I'm not sure if the problems have come from bad installs or what but when the manufactor takes such a hard stance and actually issues a bulletin it worries me.  In the end we pulled the RS.  I just figured I'd post here to tell people so they can be informed and make their own decision.

I thought there was a law against that. Maybe Land Rovers have other problems with electrical wiring and are just taking the easy way out and blaming aftermarket systems. Anyway out of curiosity I just checked tha alldata website and there are no recalls or Technical service bulletins listed regarding aftermarket items. You can check it out here.
