I was trying to put in my pioneer in my 98 Cadillac Deville but there is no power to it. I have two extra wires from the wire harness-Orange and Blue. Blue for the power antenna it says on the harness. The thing is there is no orange wire in the pioneer harness and the blue wire in the pioneer harness is for a remote it's tagged. The cadillac has a power antenna but I can't get any power to the radio. Can anyone help it wasn't a fuse because the factory still works. I don't know if I have to connect multiple wires together. Please help.

Make sure you are matching up CORRECT wires (regardless of color) to the new H/U. In most applications, red in your car doesn't mean red for the H/U. Likewise for yellow and black. Good luck.

Thanks but what about the power antenna or that orange wire? The colors do match Red & Yellow because the radio is tagged and the harness came with a wire list.

you know you have to press the source button to make it turn on the first time after it's connected, right?

Damn, that is what I was going to say. But anyways check your ground too then. There maybe a fuse on the radio itself that you need to check. If everything checks out then your radio is bunk.

If you have one just bust out a DMM and test the power and ground connections.

I think you are retarded and didn't connect your wires properly. Hey, buy a DMM and try again. Oh, and by the way, don't ever question me again, retard.

Do you realize the 98' Caddy Deville is class 2 and there is no accessory in the harness? Do you understand that most likely you have a factory amp in the car and you won't be able to use it.  Take a look under the spare tire cover for a sticker labeled "service identification". In that mix of numbers and letters look for one of these codes; UW6, UQ6, UQ4. Post back with the results and will give the answer to all your problems.

Tech 460 Thanks, the code listed is UW6. I don't have a DMM but did try the source button and slammedb5 you don't think I already stripped and reconnected it's not my first radio buddy.
