hi, has anyone ever installed a alpine cva-1005 or any in dash LCD with a brain? i'm trying to look for a place to hide the brain and i'm wanted to see if any of you have and ideas! thanks!!

also has anyone done a custom job with a indash lcd? is there anyway to install the deck in the dash more so it doesn stick out as much? how? thanks

Where ever you end up hiding the CPU of the 1005, make sure that there is sufficient room for all the wires ( there are alot ) and also make sure there is enough breathing room for it as there is an internal amplifier on the CPU. If you want a custom install you may have to cut into the dash area where the vents are and/or re-route the vents so that the monitor can flush mount better. OR you can build up the face of the dash so that it is flush with the monitor, but this takes alot of time and fiberglassing.
