I've noticed lately that a lot of people are mounting their subs inverted. That is, with the magnet out of the enclosure and in free air. The woofer actually fires into a sealed enclosure I believe. Does the sub still sound good like this? Is it as efficient as mounting the sub in the conventional manner?

the sub will sound the same as long as you reverse polarity to the inverted woofer. it does not change the efficiency of the woofer, however it may free up some airspace in the box providing a slightly boomier sound.

if you flip one sub outa two and reverse the polarity it sounds a little cleaner do to the differences in the speakers.
