I am trying to install a Crime Stopper CS2015FM2 on a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD with the Diesel (i.e. glow plugs).  Any wiring information for the alarm/remote start would be appreciated.  Also, I got the pulse inverter CS6500 for the door locks and the GMATA-II for the Passlock system.  Any advice or words of wisdom on the integration of those two will also be appreciated.

Regards,

Chris

Notes:

If you have a 2000 Classic Pickup, refer to the 1998 Full Size Pickup.    Note:  This vehicle has the passlock II immobilizer system that, when adding a remote start, must be interfaced with. use your module!!!.  Note: Diesel glow plug, dk. blue(-) located at the instrument cluster   *1 The BCM is located behind the drivers side of the dash.  The plugs on the BCM face towards the rear of the vehicle. The parking lights are in pin A5 and the headlights are in pin A11.  *2 Use tan for the drivers door located in pin B4 of the purple plug, and for the passenger door it will be a orange in pin B2 in the purple plug or dk.blue/white in pin B11 of the lt.blue plug, must diode isolate these wires.  *3  ECM is located near the battery, down low, between the fender and the fan under the black plastic cover. On the 4.3L, the tach wire is at pin 20 in the connector labeled "red", and VSS wire is at pin 3 in the connector labeled "black". On the 4.8L, 5.3L, and 6.0L, the tach wire is located at pin 10 in the "red" connector, and VSS wire is located in pin 50 of the "red" connector.  *4  Also found in the purple plug of the BCM.

Montrealler,

Thanks a bunch.  This helps a lot.  I am planning on installing on Saturday, so I'll be in touch if I get lost.

Regards,

Chris

Montrealler,

Any advice on the pulse inverter?  I was told I needed it, so I got one.  How would it change the door lock hook up?

Looking through the notes it doesn't say anything about the tach wire for the diesel (6.6L).  Any insight?  I guess I can try and find it on the ECM by just checking all of the white wires.

I have a crew cab (4 doors).  Will the orange for the passenger side catch the rear doors too?

What is the difference between factory disarm and disarm defeat?  Vocabulary makes all the difference.

Thanks again for the response.

Chris
