My nabor has a gmc box truck, i think it is a 87 or somthing. Who ever put in the batter isolater most have been on somthing. There is a 10 awg going to the rear of the truck for the 2nd battery, which is over 20 feet away (can we say meltdown). The other batter is for the tommy lift. It has been a long time since I have put one in and from what the wires look like i do not trust who ever put it in. I need help re-wireing it or checking to see if it was done right and if a fuse/ breaker is needed, if so how big ( fuses are my biggest pet pev), no the ******* did not use one. I am takeing out all the 10awg wire and putting in 4awg.

Thanks for the needed help

Here is a diagram that uses a battery isolator. Wire it this way and do any modifications needed but the general idea is here: http://www.geocities.com/harald_nancy/images/battery_isolator2.jpg
