I am considering fixing this,   Since I have had the car..A 1998 civic ex coupe, the dome light does not some on when the doors open. I have checked fuses of corse but that gets me no where,    I have power at the fuse but the light just dosent come on when the door is open, It works when I flip it on by hand though.   I have heard this is a common problem in these cars, anyone know a fix?

It dont have a factory radio does it. the dome light goes through the radio. there should be a green plug hanging around in back of the radio, it should have 2 wires i forget the colors but jump them togeter.

alright, worked great. I hate to admit it but on this car I had to be a harness hacker,   everything was all messed up when we got the car, so Instead of tracking down the shorts in speaker wires and the switched wires I ran all new and left them alone,    Dug the harness out of the dash connected the wires and it works now.    Thats gonna take some getting used to, it has never worked
