2ohm dvc or 4ohmdvc?

I have 2 Alpine Type R 12 and I was planning on the 4ohm DVC bridged to make a 4ohm mono load to my amp(Soundstream Rubi 1002 1000x1@2ohm , 1000x1@4ohm), because I bridged my 2ohm dvc today to see what those woofers could do and I noticed my lights were dimming way too much (but those woofers were slamming at only about 3/4 gain). So my question is will a 4ohm load eliminate that and give me the same performance? Any advice would be greatly appreceiatedjj

Sorry guys a friend told me that would help, but try to sell the amp and buy a mono amp since mine is a 2ch and I would get better response at any load(preferably a JL 1000/1 should I do that or am I fine with what I got

Ouch. Well, since you seem like the type of guy that just hammers relentlessly at the volume knob, then no, you're probably not fine with what you have. Also, learn how to set your gain correctly. It is not a volume knob. "3/4 gain" tells me you probably really don't understand what gain does or how to set it correctly. A class D amp (more efficient - easier on your electrical system) might help some. However, you might be better off buying a high output alternator for your car. Don't buy a cap. What is a properly set gain? When I did turn the gain down the output level was a little too low for my liking(not all the way down but almost)What adjustments should I make and how will they benefit? thnx guys(I am still a newbie)
