Does anybody know if the tach wire is accessible at the OBD2 plug? I know it is on some vehicles and I am trying to avoid runnin another wire into the engine bay.

Ok. How bout the wire color for the tach that goes into the gauge cluster? Im hookin up remote start and I'm lookin for the best place to tap the tach wire.

from my notes....

On the 4.2L it is dk. blue/lt. green at the coil pack on top of the motor. On the 4.6L go to any of the ignition coils and use the wire that is NOT RED / green. On the 5.4L it is lt. GREEN / WHITE at the coil on the passenger side of the motor between the fuel injectors.
