I've seen this stuff used on the How to DVD I own.  Where Can I get this stuff at?  Does Home Depot carry it?

Can someone explain to me what this is used for exactly? Just to make resin less fluid like so it hardens better?

Well you can use it as something to build a certain area real fast. Or you can line a sub box with it.  Supposedly you can mix it into the resin and let it sit for about 15 minutes or so and soak up the resin.  Then put your hardener in it and this stuff is about as thick as peanut butter, so you spread around on the inside of the box. You can make it like a 1/2" thick. So all you have to do is fleece your box, resin the fleece, and put this stuff inside and you're done.

It's also good if your working in odd situations. Like upside down.

I'm just curious, can cabosil be used when making, lets say, a spare tire well enclosure? Would you first create the mold with the fibeerglass mat and resin? or would you just use the resin and cabosil? When using cabosil are you completely eliminating the need for fiberglass?

Your not eliminating the need. Your cutting corners. I really don't recomend things like cabosil or polycrete or any other cuncoction in making a speaker box. They might be ok for use in things that don't need as much structure but I wouldn't use them in speakerboxes. At least not without already having enough fiberglass down to be strong enough by itself and then whats the point?

just wondering, would 10lbs of fiberglass cloth and mat ( an unspecified mixture of both) be enough to make an enclosure for 2 10's?? The mat is 1.5oz/ft and the cloth is unidirectional 21oz/yrd. would thhat be a good amount to use? would i need more or less/
