I have a 1998 blazer with the over head storage and tempature readout. Question is I want connect the overhead monitor to the tempature readout? I wanted to try F\G. What do I need to start my new project?

do you mean you want to make the tv look like its in the OEM mold that holds the temp readout or construct a f/g console with both of them in it?

Well it all depends on what type of console you want, how elaborate you want it to be, what type of design you have planned out.

I want it to look pretty much stock. But look nice as well.

Well meiwould say start off by trying to draw it out of what you want it to look like.Drawing out your ideas is always step one becuase then you can get an idea of what it will look like.

Take a picture of your stock console now (with a ruler against it as a guide later).

Open your picture in a photoshop program and draw a new console over your stock.

You can use the ruler in the picture as a guide for vairious dimensions on your console (ex: monitor).

Enjoy!

If you don't have any photoshop programs, then I'd cut out (2-dimensional) model out of posterboard with the appropriate dimensions for your buttons, screen, etc. Then just lay that over your existing and see if you like where everything (according to your posterboard) is placed.
