i saw this amp online and was thinking about buying it to run a RE XXX. i've heard of DLS before, but don't know much about them. is their stuff any good? it looks nicer than the typical junkt i usually see...it's rated at 1200 rms into one ohm. what would be better?

Here is the manufacture link  http://www.dls-america.com/newpage1.htm

These amps looks like Ample audio amplifiers.  Other than that I haven't heard of them.  From the specs these amps seem to be pretty good.  If you can get a good price and the option to return it if you don't like it I would give it a try.  All companies started somewhere and normally if they want to stay around these days they build a quality product.

the guy at RE told me to use a HiFonics Brutus. Aren't they junk? I know they made sweet amps in the early 90's, but i heard they sold out to some big company and their stuff is garbage now.

the DLS A6 is an incredible amp. you will be very happy with it. I have heard two vehicles with an A6 on a brahma, on was a twelve, ported and it was amazing, the other a fifteen sealed, and let me just say, WOW. Great sub, and a great Amp. DLS' iridium components are damn near the best in the buisiness IMHO. go for it, provided it come with a warranty
