Viper 791XV remote start problem

Hey guys, I have a 2005 Scion tC and I just got the remote start installed.  It was working fine until yesterday when I remote started the car, but then was unable to lock/unlock the doors.  If the remote start is off it's not a problem.  Any ideas?

i just installed the Clifford RSX3.2 in a TC and it's pretty much identical. I haven't had any problems with the remote start or doors locking and unlocking. i am having a problem with the progressive door unlocks. did you get this feature working?

you guys probably have the lock/unlock wires hooked up, but you need the key wires instead of lock and unlock wires.2005 Toyota Corolla S

Hey as far as the progressive locks go I don't care much for them so that wasn't a problem.  thanks for the info daniel, I'll tell take a look.

Try turning your heater off high before you unlock. I have a problem with a customer complaining  of the same thing in her corolla. Believe it or not the heater on high was doing it. When the heater is on high and it's remote started, the electromagnetic field created inside the heater ate up all the range, you literally had to be in it to get the starter to respond. Maybe thats your problem, cause I've really only seen that in Toyotas.John J. DiStefano Jr.

it's my gf's car and she has no problems with unlocking during remote start. the range is still great. i changed the programming for double pulse unlock to see if it does what she wants it to do. she's a little girl and she doesn't want both doors unlocked when disarmed. she's a scaredy cat. do i just want to wire up the 2nd unlock output and do i need to diode isolate it from the unlock pulse?

ok, i tied in the "second unlock output" located on the H2 6 pin harness found on DEI modules to the power unlock wire that i also had the disarm/unlock. this maintains the progressive unlock feature. apparently, the clifford alarm will not let you disarm/unlock quickly unless you press the buttons very very fast. the 2nd unlock output wire sends another unlock pulse without disarming. do you guys think i need to diode isolate the disarm/unlock and the 2nd unlock wires?
