Car: 97 Honda Civic w/ factory keyless entry.
The factory system didn't have a parking light connection, so I wired one using the (-) horn output to a 30A SPST relay. Relay clicks fine, so this connection is okay.
To power the lights, I tapped into the 10A headlight lead from the underhood fusebox (which should definitely supply enough power, right?) Well, when observing the bulbs when the lock/unlock buttons are pressed, the lights do flash, but very very dimly.
So, could it be that the neg. pulse time from the horn output isn't long enough to heat the filaments all the way? Or should I have used a 10A lower impedence relay?
Any help would be great, I'm stumped.

Try connect capasitor between contacts of  winding, or you can use door lock-unlock pulses together with diodes for turn relay

Connect the relay output wire to the RED / black parking light wire at the fuse box. Get a 12v feed from a 12v constant source and fuse it.

vitalio: connect the capacitor between the relay and the parking light wiring?
would door lock/unlock tapped into the hazard control circuit work?

The horn output does not produce enough time to light up the fillaments all the wat in that setup.  Like stated before by somebody your best bet is to diode your door locks and use that to get the relay going.  You can also buy a puls generator and wire that up so that it flashed when the door are locked or unlcoked.
