What did you do after car audio school?

For those of you who attended car audio schools such as installer institute or IIT ( which im going to in march), did you find it hard getting a job in the car audio industry? Did the schools have job placement programs?

Just wondering what to expect after school, if its gona be tuff getting ajob or not...

also, if anyone has attended IIT in orlando..could you give me some insight?

I went to mobile dynamics, I aced the corse and walked right into a job through the school, i did however need to relocate, i installed stereos and starters for a few years and am not doing something completely different, turned out i prefer car audio as a hobby

If you have no experience then it can be hard to get a job.

Nice.Im pretty confident ill pass my MECP exam, so i might just try a job at best buy for some expeirence then move up.

Where was your first job at?

I had no actual shop experience, all pervious experience was back yard hobby stuff...I then got hired on by a private store as Only installer/sales person (i cant stand sales, and installers have to be salesmen at times) and then got asked to work for future shop (Best Buy Canada)...quit after a year and thats about it...

hey guys, I'm planning on relocating to the states at the end of this year, but I guees my qualifications here will mean nothing there, can someone explain to me please what this MECO qualification is exactly and what it ensues to obtain?
