sony head unit, it was weird the way it was working i had the radio on and when i would first touch the speaker cables to the amp it would be loud then quiet then loud then quiet again it wouldnt stay at steady bass?? then i just connected the speaker wires to the amp and tried again and the amp had power but there was nothing coming from the sub?? i think it might be the rca cables but i have no idea?? how about you

i fixed the problem, all i needed was just a better rca cable and a bigger remote wire, its a friends car and he is running a whole bunch of crap he has 3 JLW7's and is getting one more and he wanted to be able to power them..

That makes not sense at all. the size of the remote line has nothing to do with it, it simply cant. And while the RCA's can cause a minor difference I cant see them causing the problems you described unless the RCA's had a defect in them, just out of intrest, if you had a 900 dollar sub, why didnt you have proper wiring to start with?
