1996 Cavalier Passlock gotcha

Can someone help me? I read a lot about the Cav's being a real PITA... I'd think it would be pretty straightforward, except the wires seem to be not right colored as per what I'm used to.

Picture one, black=bulb test, no problem there.
Pictures 2 and 3... those wires are NOT Black white and yellow, they're black, black and black white, hence WTF?
They test like this.
BLACK/ White --> Near battery voltage when key in on posn
Black --> Ground
Black --> ~ 1.7 ohm to ground when running
make any sense?
Can you help me?

I'd never seen this setup without the yellow before. Am I alone on that?
