i have an old punch 200 on 2 kicker comp, at 4ohm load and at high levels the bass gose out then comes back the amp dosent shut off just the subs dont respond do u think its the amp or subs thanks.

Is the amp bridged or stereo?  You have 2 subs at a 4ohm load in series? Parallel?  IMO you have not provided enough information.  Sounds like your final impendence is to low, 2 4ohm subs in parallel is a 2ohm load - too low for your amp if it is bridged.

4 ohm total two 8 in par. and bridged.
