2004 chevrolet monte carlo

here is the problem , i installed a keyless entery /remote start , the customer says the door locks are working intermitently, when i checked it out i found this , if you open the door (either door) lock with the switch , and then close the door , the door will not unlock with the switch or the keyless i installed , but will unlock with the factoey keyless?? it is like the lock system shuts down when you lock with the switch , it is a single wire system (orange and black wire ) chassis ground though a realy for unlock and 470ohm  res. to lock , any suggestions would be apprieciated

did you make the connection at the bcm? there is 2 orange black wires, also meter the resistor you are using if your eyes are as good as mine you may need to meter every resistor before you install it. are you sure that you have your relay connected correctly? also are you sure you aren't using an aux wire or a second pulse unlock wire?sweet.

I ran into the same problem with an 04 grand prix. I'm no help here just letting you know you're not alone with this one.

my guess is something with the domelight.  some GMs have been known in the past to have problems with the doors not unlocking after the domelight goes out..the BCM shuts down and it has to be woken up to unlock the doors with an aftermarket alarm.  i checked the DEI sheet for this car and it didnt mention anything about it.  what kind of alarm did you install in this car?

no i did not make the connection at the bcm ... will it make a difference ?i installed a remote starter keyless, (mars 22 by omega) checked all resistor values and they ar correct , unlock is a chassis ground , i am using a relay to trigger unlock
