i just did a crv for a starter/alarm, i had no problems exept for this little diddy:
when you hit the brake there is a relay/plunger that engages at the shift selector and only engages when the truck is either sitting in park or when coming to a complete stop, you can hear a faint click, the question i have is, is this normal? my buddy just bought the truck and wasn't sure if it was there before or not. i checked to see if there was anything i had tie strapped to tight or something obstructing in anyway....nothing to be found.
i also felt around where the noise was coming from and could feel the plunger actuate when the brake was pushed, which leads me to believe that this is a normal function.
plus where the shift lever is i really have no reason to be in that area when doing a starter.
any ideas? my friend is gonna take it to the dealer and see if it's normal or not, and if they have no answer then i may need to take a test drive in one to see for myself.
sweet.

Yes this is nornal. It's on the '04s as well. I noticed this when I had to pick up a customer's Honda and the relay clicks just above the steering column shaft behind the dash.
