i am a newbie at this forum, but the guys at caraudioforum.com recommended that i come over here. i have a 1993 pontiac bonneville and i am installing an alarm for my first time on saturday. i was looking for some hints and tips but i also have some questions.
Here is my alarm:
http://www.commandoalarms.com/itm10002.htm
1. Do I put the alarm brain under my dash by my steering wheel?
I looked under there today and saw some wiring harnesses and what I think was the ignition harness. There was also a little yellow sticker in the general vicinity that said somehting like "vehicle sec." which i am assuming is something to do w/ the security system.
2. Do I plug the brain into a wiring harness or anything like that?
3. I know the starter wire is yellow, there was a yellow wire on what I "think" was the ignition harness that looked to be about 10ga. Is this the starter wire?
4. What type of door locks do I have?
3-wire pos, 5-wire pos, 4-wire reversal, etc...
5. How hard would it be to wire in a remote start some time later? My alarm comes w/ 2-2 button remotes.
6. And if I wanted to do a fuel-pump shut off, how would I wire that up?
Sorry about all of the questions, I don't want to mess anything up 93 bonneville alarm ?'s did a search but nothing -- posted image. 93 bonneville alarm ?'s did a search but nothing -- posted image.
