Can you use the Crankshaft or Camshaft Position sensors for the tach refernece hook up at the ECM

If I were you...I wouldn't try and re-invent the wheel...Use good tech support and go with that as far as a tach signal location is concerned. If you have the time and the knowledge, go for it. Make sure you share your findings.

Yes normally you can we use these on some vehicles..

am not sure what crank or cam sensor does but i came across the analog tachnometer where it reads the cam/crank to reference engine RPM.

I think it works on AC voltage.
