Hi

I am planning to buy my first security system and could use some recommendations. Car will be Honda Prelude (4th generation).

My requirements for the system are (including basic functionality like central lock, starter kill etc.):

-Warn-away feature (if you come too close the car, it gives some notification sound etc.)  I think this requires some microwave-radar system (inner area for full alarm, outer area for notifications only) ? No need for speaker-module.

-2-way system (pager with lcd-screen  to notify about car status, if there is somebody scratching my doors etc. )

-Clear (or at least adequate) instructions for assembly

Thanks.

Can't go wrong with Autostart either.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.Recommendations for car security system -- posted image.

Can't go wrong with a Commandor FM870. It has everything your looking for. You could even add more in the furture.
