I have one 10" SonY XPlod in a GMC Sierra ex-cab.  I am so-so happy with it.  It does ok----I used to be real up to date with what sounded best, but have fallen out of the know.

So---i want all around quality.  I want to hit the lows and the highs--I listen to everything---EVERYTHING----so I need Ludacris and Korn to sound good.  Back in my day JL Audio, JBL were the choice.  I ran two JBL 10's and a pioneer 12 and liked it very much.  What is the sub of choice these days for rumbling lows and tight hard hitting punches?  Wattage is no problem.

Too many to name. Allot of good gear out now days, I usually look for a good deal. No one name brand reins supreme IMO. Give an idea how much you want to spend, you'll get better results. I've heard the power is no problem line before, only to find out power is a problem; problem is-its expensive. I don’t just mean expensive on the amp side, but when you start getting into the 800w rms (100amps of draw)and above power side, you start to look at upgrading your electrical system (h.o. alternator!).
So give some idea what you expect. I find most users are happy with a 10 or 12" high quality 200$+ subwoofer (JL w3v2, Alpine type R, Infinity Kappa Perfect, JBL power, MTX 7500, others...) and about 300w rms.
What will you get for Christmas, bad boy? Coal........or Visonik?? - stevdart
