The top of the amp rack is made of 1/4" mahogany plywood painted black.

yeah they say you should really have a calculus degree before attempting a ported fiberglass box, I read somewhere though that a guy used the long narrow ports though by glassing the box, cutting the hole, placing the port in and fiberglassing on top of that, of course the calculations have to be perfect. But anyway hats off to ya for giving it a shot I think I might in the future as well.
