Hello,

I am selling my Jetta and I need to remove my audio system.  I have no problem in removing the whole setup because I did the installation myself.  Back then the car had no factory unit installed and only the wires (with no connectors) were hanging out of the stereo bay.

I recently acquired a newer factory unit from Ebay and later on I pulled the whole wiring harness from a A3 Jetta at a local junkyard. I am now puzzled at how the installation will go.

My problem breaks down in a few questions:

First:  How do I "decode" the colors from the newer harness to match my car's?

Second: Do my car's wires match the wiring of the newer unit?

Third:  This unit has CD changer control capabilities but no standard plug for the cable.  I REALLY don't want to interfere with this feature when I wire the whole thing up.

Please help.

Here's the link for the Stereo Information from this site.  Hopefully that will help a little.
