Hey man, if you paint it in automotive paint, it would fade just as quickly as a car does. Which is not very quick at all if you use a good paint.  And no it shouldnt warp from the sun.  Think about old vettes they're bodies are fiberglass they dont warp.

Most new cars have at least some fiberglass body parts. Glass won't warp in the sun, it probly won't warp under short blasts from a blow torch. But I don't recommend testing that on your dash.

If you glass it right, the dash will outlast the car.
