Camaro Trunk Release Problem Again!!

OK...About 6 months ago i had a problem with my 96 camaro...trying to get the trunk to pop from the remote....i fixed it by going to the bcm and the switch at the same time by diode isolating the bcm.....now it wont work again...i have to open a door for the trunk to pop......could the diode have blown or something bc this is really pissing me of...i am MECP certified and this still stumps the f*** out of me......please help

Does the Camarao have the RAP system in it ? If so you have to fool the system so that the RAP disengages and there will be power again to the system.
