Subaru outback aerial amp

Anybody know physically where the aerial amp is please? Trying to get an MP3 changer FM RF signal spliced into aerial line, but the head unit is the combined unit with a/c controls, no aerial co-ax connected visible. Aerial is on rear window, and I am told there should be an amp somwhere taking the aerial input.

from memory it's located behind the head unit...have fun mate, it's not fun!

Okay, do you know if its input is a normal aerial co-ax, that we could splice the fm modulated input into please? The feed to the head unit looks like a small shielded lead - certainly no normal size co-ax can be seen going in...
