I have a 2003 Honda civic.It doesn't have automatic door locks.I'd like to wire in a relay or something of the sort.That when the dome light goes off the doors automatically lock.Any body know how to wire up something
like this? With out adding a whole alarm.

When you say it doesn't have automatic locks are you saying it doesn't have power locks or, they just don't lock automatically for you? If you don't have power locks then you will need to buy a kit with door lock actuators to move the lock cylinder for you. Ebay is a good place to search for such a unit.

Do you think you would remember if you had just a keyless entry system? I was thinking of your idea of tieing into the domelight but, then the locks would try to lock each time the dome light went off. Like for instance when you got into the car. If you dont want to install a big alarm just a simple keyless entry system would do what you want. I think some of them even have passive locking. Just that wouldn't be too difficult. Maybe someone else has a  simple idea?   Chime in if you got em guys.

Hi;
I would probably hook up a relay to the reverse lights. Usually you only use reverse once during a trip. Pin 85 would go to ground, 86 to your reverse light hot wire, 87 to ground, and 30 to your power lock wire (assuming it is a negative system)
