Clarion deck problem

hey folks... Something wrong with my deck. Started awhile back when my tunes would start to crackle and fade into nothing. - They'd sometimes come back on if I turned the car off and back on again or tap the brake or flick on my turn signal. Thought it was either a bad ground, a short or bad speakers. Well, I replaced all my speakers and my wiring and she's still doin’ it. I tested the 2 power wires going to the unit and it's getting plenty of juice but when I tested the speaker wires - nothing!!! I also had my local vehicle audio shop test the unit and they said it was the deck for sure! - They said I might as well just buy a new one since a repair would cost me $100 anyway. Well, I'm kinda broke and love to tinker with things. So, I got the deck opened up and was gonna give the circuit board a good cleaning (since there's rusty stuff on many of the solder points) and check 'em over but was wondering if anyone had any pointers or ideas what might be wrong with it? Thanks for the response Alpine Guy. That's exactly it! - I used to do it when it would warm up. Now, it rarely works first thing in the morning and if it does work by chance it's only for 5-10mins then it'll quit. No idea what it was on the inside eh? Thanks again, Mike
