you can wire a starter kill 2 ways. normally open or normally closed. if you wire it norm closed and the alarm losses power for some reason you will still be able to start the car, because the relay is normally closed until it sees ground on the org wire. in a norm open if it loses power the kill will remain open and the car will not start. 

the org wire is a ground when armed output ... when you arm the alarm it sends ground to the realy to open the circuit.

the org wht  does the opposite
