Well the gain is only up to 1/4 on the dial, and yes they are 4 ohm DVC's.

customsuburb, how would i wire the subbs to achive 3ohms bridged? Right now they are going to both channels on the amp so they are not bridged.

Does anyone think that stupid cap could have anything to do with it? Thanks again.

The cap has nothing to do with it. The subs cannot be wired to 3 ohms or 2 ohms, only 1, 4 or 16. Use this method to wire the subs to the amp. As was pointed out, the /1 series amps are basically a "governed" amplifier making full rated power at 4,3 or 2 ohms or any point in between.

Wiring Option #2

At what level is the sub control set at on the cd player and at what volume level is the cd player at out of maximum when the subs cut out? Is the bass on the cd player turned up. Where is the ground on the amp attached to the vehicle.?

Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.
