Does anyone know if Kenwood receivers can be used to power a 2ohm load? My factory speakers are at 2ohms and I just got a Kenwood DDX-7015 and wondered if I need to replace the speakers before the install. Thanks

I second that. It may run for awhile at 2 ohm thus it can be said as a yes, but that yes will turn to a no once the smoke that makes the unit operate is released.
Top Secret, I can tell you but then my wife will kill me.

Thanks, guys, for the info. By any chance does anyone know if can use a coil or inductor to raise the ohm load to 4?

Not a good idea.  Hey, you just spent $1700 on a top of the line head unit, why do you want to keep your 49 cent factory speakers and destroy any chance of enjoying the sound quality of the nice new head?  Purchase a decent set of 4-ohm speakers for your car.
