Does anyone know what type of door looks come with a 96 toyaota landcrusier? Positive, negative, reverse polarity, etc. My alarm came with diodes that need to be positioned a certain depending on positive or negative.
Also, I found information in this site which identifies the wire colors and generally where to look for them but I have a question about the door lock wiring. The diagram that came with the alarm shows the connection between the lock switch and the "factory lock relay". Is this relay inside the door?
Thanks!

Thanks for the response but I guess I am still a bit confused. It's probably me just not understanding the chart I guess.
I am trying to understand a few specfic things:
1. Is the door type type for this vehicle is a positive, negative or reverse polarity type?
2. Do I need to install the diodes for this vehicle?
3. Is is important to install the keyless entry wires between the lock switch and the lock relay like the instruction show in the car alarm instal manual??

1. Negative
2. Yes, TOYOTA, LAND CRUISER, 1996, Power Unlock
Both wires must be used and diode isolated. This will prevent any feedback to the alarm unit. Connect the diode with Cathode (side with the stripe) to the alarm unit.
3. NO, since every car is different. Look at the wiring schematic for the car you are working with. Test the wire with a digital multimemter. If they are correct. Wire it up. As for your car. They are the following:
Power Lock blue/black    -   driver door harness in kick
Power Unlock blu/yel & blu/org    -   driver door harness in kick
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.96 Toyota Landcruiser -- posted image.
