Hey, i have noticed a small problem in my system. When i sit down in the drivers seat, i get blasted by the left side. Opposite in the right side. I never hear the same amount of sound goin in either ear. I was thinking that maybe my crossovers needed adjusted, or i could use a parametric eq (Cadence or Audiocontrol). Would this help? Would i be able to choose which frequencies my subs will pick up at? They get shallow on some low notes and don't grab on. Any other good eq companies out there? Let me know!

Have you tried the balance control on your CD player...

Uhm.  So you want the best of both worlds?

You want the passenger AND the driver to have the same balance?

A parametric eq won't do a thing.  Nothing will help it.  Laws of physics.  Sorry.

Either the balance is right for you OR the balance is right for your passenger.

But maybe the flawless gods at nakamichi can think of something.  ;-)

I got it! Rip passenger seat out. Center drivers seat, pedals, wheel, ect. Then, no more balance problems.
(Just messing with ya.)

the only way to fix that is to make the speaker equally distant from u and thats pretty hard in a car unless you are dead center. have you looked into a headunit with digital time allignment? havent had a chance to experiment with hu's with the feature myself but i hear it works.

Digital time alignment won't fix it. In fact, digital time alignment will only make the situation worse for your passenger.

You are still PHYSICALLY closer to the speakers, and a DSP will NOT fix that. You would still have to lower the gain for the closer speaker to you, and then the passenger gets EVEN MORE blasted... still

BTW, kfr01, that Nakamichi thing WAS pretty funny... <and he smiled quietly to himself>
It all reminds me of something that Molière once said to Guy de Maupassant at a café in Vienna: "That's nice. You should write it down."
