I was told that all I had to do to add cruise to my 2004 express van was to replace the multi swith with the swicth that has the cruise controls.  I found the four pin connector and hooked up the new multi-switch but still no cruise.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Look under the hood to see if there is an unused connector on the drivers side fender well area. If so, you need to add the servo and throttle linkage as well as the handle.

thanks for the response.  There is a 2 pin connector (Orange and Black Wires) by the fender. You wouldn't happen to know what the part numbers are for the servo and linkage would you????

Thanks again

It's not a 2 pin connector, it would be a large maybe 16 - 20 pin connector on the fender well or wall. Can you see the throttle body on the van?

I can see the throttle body and the only cable going to it is the cable from the gas pedal.  I can't see any large connectors that aren't used.

In that case adding just the handle is out of the question. If there really isn't the unused plug (it's rare), you basically need to install an entire universal cruise kit, or find the OEM parts. I've seen a few without the connector under the hood, and they suck. You have to dig around the bcm behind the headlight area and find the speed wire, etc.
If you DO find the unused plug, you still need to install the throttle linkage and servo. SCS or Rostra makes a GM kit (can't think of the part # off hand)which plugs right into the OEM unused plug and then you just run the throttle cable and whatever handle you wired in should work.
Good luck
