heres my situation, i installed a remote starter in a 2002 mazda miata which has a transponder key. i used a DEI 555u (keybox) and for somereason on this car the placement of the antenna ring around the key cylinder is VERY critical, i glued the antenna ring onto the factory ring to makesure it wouldnt slide around at all and every thing seemed to work fine. now the customer says thatwhen the car is cold, it will crank with the remote starter but wont start. but when the car is warm it will start every time with the remote starter. now of course when they bring the car to me, it works every time. SO.. has anyone had problems like this with this car? or am i the only unlucky one here?, any input is apprecited, thanks!

Did you make sure that the key in the module is seated properly. What I have found in the past is to mount the key so that the front of the key is facing the engine and the flat side of the key ( with the writing ) facing the driver/passenger doors. This way if temperature is a factor the key has no where to go and can not slide out of the sweet spot in the module.
