Thanks guys, I will resume the install saturday. But this week has been a rough one.

Started with a motor rebuild, then to a friends truck having a fuel problem, then trying to squeeze in the wifes remote starter. I have tied everything up under the dash.

To Be Continued.....James K.

Looks correct to me. I looked at the install manual for the PLXR at bypasskit.  For that pos 12 line you are looking for you can use the red wire in the ignition harness if you'd like.

You only need to connect the keysense wire if the wire goes to ground with the doors closed and the key in the ignition. I dont have the color either I would check on the light green one that iskidoo mentioned. Meter it and play with the key and door to see if there is any change.

I would ignore the vats part on the blue resistor value wire. For future knowledge the PLDATA looks like the easiest way to bypass passlock II. When I did it on my brothers 98 GMC pickup several years ago I did the ole two relay measure and wire in your own resistor method. It was cheap and worked out fine but, next time I do it I think I will go with PLDATA.

Sounds like you about have it James.

I agree, The PLDATA is great. Used them a few times. Just hook up +12v, ground, negative out when running form starter and then the data wire to the OBDII violet wire. No cutting and splicing into the Passlock II wiring. Just hook up 4 wires and it programs in a snap.

I asked for the pldata unit but noone around here had them. The shops I talked to said th PLXR is a up-todate unit and the pldata was tyhe old school unit. they said they could order it But the plxr was the same one with a few new added options or system coverage.

I have waged war on this and it will be working saturday... if not im stikin a rag in the tank...

The PLXR is not the replacement module for the PLDATA. The GMBP is the databus replacement unit for the PLDATA. The PLXR will have the same affect in the end, just more wires to hook up and a little more volitile when it comes to the newer Passlock systems. Get the GMBP over the PLXR, it's a little more money but IMO it's a sure bet.
