Hey all, Having some issues with a door actuator I am installing.

I am using an alarm with "dual polarity" lock/unlock. I ran a 12v power, the door luck/ unlock wires to the door. I connected both the lock/unlock to seperate relays, connected the two power wires to each relay and connected the actuator to both #30 on each relay and grounded the relays. Everything matches  the diagram, but the acutuator isnt engaging. I press arm, nothing happens. I measured current and this is what I got.

-measured at the alarm box connection. when I press engage the current pulsed like I thought it should

-measured after the box that converts 3 wires to 2 wires(lock,unlock,positive12v?) but there was no longer any current pulse.

Is this something to fo with the reverse polarity? Please help!!!

THanks in advance.

Adam B.

Does the diagram you followed look like this one?
Reverse polarity
Also, do you hear the relays clicking? Try putting diodes on the lock/unlock wires, stripe (cathode) side
towards alarm.

Yes I used that diagram. Is there supposed to be a current pulse on the opposite side of that convertor box?

You can do without the convertor box, since your using relays. If the alarm comes with a separate doorlock harness use that with the relays if not, cut off the convertor box.
