Hi All,

I managed to get the remote starter in with no problems, all is well in that regard.  However the way I am disarming the factory alarm (1999 Accord V6EXL) is not really how Id like to do it :

I am presently tieing the "alarm disarm" pulse (-12vdc) to the (orange) "passenger side key cylinder unlock input" wire (cant remember the harness #) on the passenger side. This works fine as an alarm disarm, the only problem is it actually unlocks all the doors in the car.

Does anyone know of a generic "disarm" input for the Factory alarm (not the Dealer Installed Honda one, but the one that is included in the V6 EX)?  All that I have tried so far (exception being the blue/wht in the drivers door) result in an unlock etc. etc.    I have thought maybe I need a diode here somewhere, but wasn't sure if that would help or hurt me more ;)

Many Thanks!!

yes you need to go inside the driver door to a blue wire at the driver switch plate. you can permantly disarm by going to ground or pulse if you want either way. if you do that then run an extra set to use the factory led in the door as well.

I knew I should have just run it inside the door in the first place ;)

Thanks for the help - I was hesitant to use that as I thought it was a pulsed ground for the drivers door unlock ECU input (thereby unlocking all doors).  I will connect it to the pulsed ground on the R.S. output I guess - thanks again!! :)
