I've seen everyone use the matting / cloth type.

Curious if Self Adhesive Gypsum (Drywall) Panel Tape works, cause it's made of fiberglass mesh.

Have no clue what this is or what it looks like.  If you could elaborate a little more or a picture would be very helpful.  Or maybe someone else knows what this is.

if its what I'm thinking of, I wouldn't use it. Is it like the mesh stuff? If so that probley won't work.

not much strength in it. fiberglass cloth has more tensil strength then the drywall mesh tape. wouldn't reccomend in place of FG.

if you are thinking about using it for it's self adhesiver qualities, just get a can of spray glue. spray and lay.

nope...i tried it on my very first project ever (a spoiler for my car which was made of wood, routered and covered in a layer of fiberglass...didnt last thru the winter before it started cracking) i had trouble around the tight bends cause it wasnt really sticky enough, It just wasnt much fun, the mat is my favorite, although i think the cloth looks kinda cool cause it leaves sort of a carbon fiberish effect.
