I have a Ford Focus and i live in the UK.  Not that this matters but I thought I would mention it.  I am looking for a alarm that will be able to do the dealock function.  I have been looking at loads of alarms but they don' seem to have this feature.  Is there anyone knows either how I can make it so that it will work as a deadlock of a single pulsed lock signal.  I am sure there are people that have tried to fit a alarm to a car that uses deadlocks in the past so it should be a easy to answer for the all knowing geniouses there are in this neck of the woods.  I am no alarm specialist and infact this will be the first alarm I will be installing.  And quite possibly the last.  I have one main reason for fitting it myself and that is cost.  Here in the UK we are really ripped off on the installs of these devices and they still don't work properly.  I want a simple alarm that I can install with the gratest of ease.  I am not new to electronics infact far from it so I have no issues with choping the wiring to get things to work.

I know there is a seperate cable for the lock and then for the deadlock..  This could cause a issue as I think is will mean that it will have to send 2 signals out from the alarm control unit.  Anyway I am waffling.  Can any of you help?

People say I am arrogant but the best normally are

What is a DEADLOCK FUNCTION? How does it work? It might be called a different name here in Canada.
Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.Ford Focus alarm - Last Post -- posted image.

Alright people, I to have a focus( 99 Zetec 5dr) in the UK and are haveing the same problem as you "projectfocus". Ive bought a toad C3 and id like to get the deadlocking working aswell as the selective unlocking. Deadlocking is the same as double locking "thepencil", you press the lock button a second time it locks twice so that the doors cannot be opened from the inside aswell as the outside, i dont think the USA spec foci have this feature though. if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Does your focus have original remote locking off the keyfob,,
If it does you can add a plip upgrade (cat 2-1) and program the alarm to work off the deadlock signal instead of of the locking signal ,,
I Have tried dioding the wiring to give a double pulse on a standard alarm but on the unlock it only opened the drivers door as the factory remote would have,,
