Hi all. Im back.
Quick background: had a Code CA-640 professionally installed in my 04 trailblazer about 3 months ago. The installer has moved away.
Starting today, the alarm will go off for no reason. It reports the shock sensor as the problem.
At first I thought it was noise (exhaust or something triggering it), but its now done it twice while sitting in my garage.
Ive turned off the shock sensor (stage 2) to see if that what the problem is. At this point im wondering if it’s a problem with the brain.
If anyone has any ideas or things to look at, I would be most appreciative. Thanks.

How long specifically does it take to go off after you get out of the car and arm the alarm? So go close the door, start the car, turn the car off, get out, close the door, then arm the alarm and start timing.

I have seen this a couple times and it may apply to you. When the car's computers go into rest mode it clicks a relay. If the shock sensor is too close to that relay then it can actually set the shock sensor off. Long shot but I have seen it happen before.

well apparently that was it. strange how that started down the line.
the problem would happen pretty close to 20 mins after arming. i reduced the sensitivity by 1 until it went away.
thanks a bunch for the help.

welp, looks like i spoke too soon. it happened again last night around 3:30, about 2 hours after my last reset as instructed above.
at that point i disabled the stage 2 of the shock sensor. i suppose its something in the brain, so the only thing i know to do is totally disable the onboard shock sensor (its built into the brain) and buy an external one.

Ok so heres the answer to your problem.

The built in shock sensors have so much adjustment and they need to be set furhter apart.    Basically for some stupid reason when they are set close together(warn away & full trigger) they will have false triggers.   Sometimes it will be a full trigger and other times it will just be warn away.

If you purchase a seperate code shock sensor it will eliminate your problems for sure.    And it will be much more sensitive.     Otherwise just basically turn off either your warn away or your full trigger.      It sucks I know,   mine even still goes off sometimes and its set pretty far apart.     I know the one that CC sells is only like 10 bucks and it plugs right into the brain.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

whats interesting is: ive got stage 2 totally turned off. this weekend my car has sat in my garage (which is a noise/virbation free area) and i have heard the warn away (which i have turned down quite a bit) go off at least 8 or 9 times. im wondering if the warn away is triggering the full alert.
anyway, ive already ordered a new shock sensor to replace it. im going to have to interrupt it so it doesnt trigger w/the remote start.
i suppose im going to lose the ability to disable the shock sensor when i arm it.
one reason im going to add the shock sensor is because the installer mounted the brain to the frame with a wire tie; i think if i put the new shock sensor on the steering column it will cover the vehicle more evenly.
do you think its worth trying to continue to adjust the on board sensor? at this point i feel like its just a malfunction, but perhaps it really does need some fine tweaking?

well typically when you remote start it already disables the shock sensor.

I would say that where the installer mounted the brain should be a good spot to pick up any vibrations from the vehicle.     I dont think that the steering column will help at all.   Granite the stand alone shock sensors are alot better so where ever you put it,  it will pick up better than the one in the brain.

As far as fine tweaking the on board sensor.........I wouldnt just turn both stages off since you have the new stand alone coming.
