I could use some help figuring out the best way to wire my set-up. I have 1 Soundstream Van Gogh VGA500.4 amp with the specs listed below.
RMS @ 4 OHMS: 125W x 4 CH
RMS @ 2 OHMS: 250W x 4 CH·
RMS BRIDGED POWER @ 4 OHMS: 500W x 2 CH
I have 4 8ohm (100rms / 200max) midbass speakers and 2 8 ohm (100rms / 200max) compression horns. Can you help me figure out the best way to wire them to my amp to get the most watts out?
Thanks for your help.

Do you simply want "the most power out" or do you want it to sound right?  What's the installation?  What kinds of crossovers are you planning to use?

I definitely want it to sound right. The installation is in a custom fiberglass box for my wakeboard boat tower. I tried attaching a pic but it's way too big. I have not ordered the crossovers for the horns yet but will be. I'm just waiting for the recommendation from the mfgr. Assuming I go with this set-up (including the crossovers), how would you recommend I wire it?

I'd  use two channels to run your horns in stereo, and a set of mid-basses paralleled to each of the other two channels.  Use an active crossover and high-pass the horms at around 1600 to 2000Hz (most comprression drivers are great down to 600 or so but don't go that low) and bandpass the woofers between 80Hz and whatever you choose for the horns.  You'll also want a sub for the low bass below 80Hz.

Is the drawing the same of what you're recommending? (square's are horns and rounds are mids) I think that would have all of the speakers running at 4ohms and only 65 watts to each or am I doing something wrong. I have 4 Image Dynamics IDv.3 8" subs for the bass so I should be ok there. Thanks again.Help wiring these speakers. -- posted image.

No, I'd run the horns at 8-ohms, one to a channel, not bridged in parallel.

Oh yes, I missed that... Am I correct with watts per each mid? 65? At ohms, how many watts would I be getting to the horns?
