Hi guys im new here, thinkin about alpine's new 1005 amp. I have heard yall talk some trash about it and i need for you to convince me not to buy it. what other amps should i be looking at?

Get the MRD-M1001. Its the old model and it is a MUCH better amp. There IS a reason the MRD-M1005 is cheaper. Alpine even tells you. They use different internals which makes production cheaper. Go to there web page and read it. Think hard about what thats saying. "We make 'em outa cheap sh*t so we can sell 'em cheap."

Is that not a good reason?? If you want cheap sh*t buy audiobahn and save the $$$.

My local shop as stopped carring Alpine because of the new line of amps. They said that in the short time they have been out they have too many problems. One that came out of the box screwed up.

Yah..i'll stick with the mrd m1001 if I were you..and cheaper on ebay due to it being older. And the m1005 looks like an amp from toys from us lol
