Hey. I got a 86 300zx N/A. And I'm putting in the following in about a month, when the stuff arrives:

It's all Alpine

Head Unit - CDA-9855

4 channel Amp - MRV-F345

Mono Amp - MRD-M605

Component Speakers - SPR-69LP x 2 - SPS-130A x2

Subwoofer - SWR-1222D

What i want to know is If ill need a better alternator than the 70amp stock. Whichi i think i do. If so, where can i find a good alternator of such?

Yes, you'll need a bigger alt.

If you can get a local shop to rewind it for more amperage, do that, otherwise search the forums for HO alternators, you should find a bunch of info on where to get one.

excellent, my local alternator rebuilder will build me a 200-225 amp alternator for $400-$450CA. Sounds like a fair price to me, especially in the north where parts are expensive, and labour goes for $100/h

Check around before you rebuild yours. You should be able to get one for less than that.
