2004 Dodge Stratus alarm

I installed an alarm on a 2004 Dodge Stratus Sedan. The car did not have an alarm or keyless entry. I have two questions.   most of the wiring diagrams said to diode isolate all four doors and I know this will prevent false triggers. However, I notice when testing one of the passenger doors wires that it trigger on either passenger door. I wanted to know for future installs on this vehicle if you did not install all four triggers would it cause some residual issues. How can I get the alarm to activate if someone pulls on the door handle? The interior lights come on when you pull on the door handle.MEH66

You could probably use the Dome Supervision wire. It's yellow found in front of fuse box in a 6 pin plug. You just have to contend with the 30 second delay while arming when you exit the vehicle.

As iskidoo indicated, if you want the alarm to activate on the pull of the handle the dome supervision wire is the way to do it. Don't see why your door triggers has any issue in the foreseeable future if you are not using them. Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.

A good rule of thumb is Diode isolate your connection when you have more than two wire join together at a connection point. However, there are some exception to the rule, but if you suspect that you will encounter feedback to the unit diode isolate them. In your case put the diode strip side facing the alarm unit. Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it.
