i have an audiobahna2002t amp. when i try to connect the power it sparks out and blows the fuse. heres how it happens diff ways.

R = remote connected to radios G = 6gauge ground F = 40 fuse P = 4gauge power  from battery

if RGP are connected it'll spark and blow the fuse when i try to enter the fuse

if F is in RG connected will spark and blow fuse when P is touched to the amps terminal

so on and so forth with all of the wires whenever the last one is connected itll spark.

so to ensure it wasn't my wiring i disconnected my friends amp and tried connecting mine to his wires. still the same thing i didn't do it as extensive but i connected it GRFP.

just wanna know if its repairable or trash it

before you junk the amp try upgrading the ground to 4 gauge. make sure the paint is scraped and wire is as short as possible. maybe you have some stray strands of wire that are branching over the power and ground, are you useing connectors? we had a guy come in from out of state and his was doing that and whoever installed it had some stray wires branching over and it melted the terminals together on his JL amp.

yeah what ss installer said, upgrade your ground to 4 gauge or more. most importantly, disconnect your battery or inline fuse from the batt. whichever is easier. if it still does that take it to a shop and have it benched. im lazy and will switch up my own amps while everything is hot and never have problems, but it is a really bad idea to do so. some time when you are drunk you will melt your screwdriver to the amp casing and you will understand
