Hi, I've attached a small portion of a wiring diagram for a cheap chinese brand (Aolin) 2 way remote starting alarm. The only problem i've got installing it is this one green wire which is for the remote starter portion of the alarm. I appreciate that it is simply checking to see if the handbrake is applied before it energises the remote start relays but to me it looks like it will get a +ve whenever the ignition is on? (don't know if it is too clear on the scan but it attached to a 12V + running to the hand brake light.
Any ideas, is the alarm trying to sense a voltage drop when the handbrake is applied?
Cheers

instead of using the hand brake light wire, you can use the brake pedal wire which at rest will not have a signal thru it but when depressed allows a signal to be passed to the alarm to "shut off". if the key is in and in the on position the vehicle will stay running and you can go about your bussiness. but if there is no key in the vehicle should shut down and on some alarms start the siren. hope this helps.

on most cars you should just be able to hook up the green wire to the handbrake wire and it has to see ground before it will let you remote start the car in other words the ebrake has to be engaged before the car is remote started.

If you don't want to wire it into the hand brake, just wire in a switch to ground. It will do the same thing.
